Trip Overview
Join us on a world-class 8-day liveaboard diving expedition through the best of the Maldives. We’ll be sailing aboard the SeaRose II, a spacious 45-meter vessel designed for comfort, diving, and unforgettable encounters with marine life.
This route takes you through four of the Maldives’ most iconic atolls—North Male, South Male, Vaavu (Felidhoo), and Ari Atoll. It’s the ultimate way to experience the Maldives’ full underwater diversity, from vibrant coral reefs to thrilling pelagic encounters.
Expect daily dives with manta rays, whale sharks, nurse sharks, grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and more. You’ll explore world-famous dive sites like Fish Head, Guraidhoo Kandu, Miyaru Kandu, Kandoma Thila, Tuna Factory, and the legendary Maamigili whale shark zone.

From your first night at sea to your final dives, here’s how the week flows.

Welcome Aboard
Arrival & trip briefing
Guests are welcomed at Malé International Airport and transferred to the liveaboard.
After boarding, you’ll get settled into your cabin, meet the crew, and go through a full trip and dive briefing covering safety procedures, itinerary flow, and onboard logistics.
Depending on arrival times and conditions, a check dive may take place later in the day.
Dive with Mantas in Ari Atoll
First full dive day
We begin exploring Ari Atoll with a series of dives across thilas, reefs, and wrecks known for their marine life and currents.
Possible dive sites include Kanthila, Maaya Thila, and Fesdhoo Wreck.
The day may finish with a night dive at Fesdhoo, known for seasonal manta ray encounters.
Whale Shark Day
Mantas, pelagics & whale sharks
Today focuses on some of the Maldives’ most iconic encounters.
Dive sites may include Fish Head and Manta Point Moofushi, with opportunities to encounter reef sharks, eagle rays, and manta rays.
Later in the day, we head toward the Maamigili area, one of the best-known regions for whale shark encounters.
In the evening, weather permitting, a beach BBQ dinner may take place on a local sandbank island.
Thilas & Coral Reefs
Exploring Ari Atoll
We continue exploring Ari Atoll’s famous thilas and reef systems.
Possible dive sites include Dhigga Thila, Rah'Dhigga Thila, and Rangali Reef.
Expect a mix of coral formations, reef sharks, schooling fish, and macro marine life throughout the day.

Gray reef sharks & pelagics
Another full day of diving across Ari Atoll.
Depending on conditions and wildlife activity, dives may focus on channels, pinnacles, or reef systems known for gray reef sharks, eagle rays, tuna, and other pelagic species.
Each dive day is adapted to weather, currents, and recent wildlife sightings.
Felidhoo Channels & Nurse Sharks
Channel diving & night encounters
We move toward Felidhoo Atoll for dives in some of the Maldives’ most active channels.
Possible sites include Miyaru Kandu and Alimathaa.
The day may end with the famous Alimathaa night dive, known for close encounters with nurse sharks and stingrays.
South Malé Atoll
Final dives of the expedition
Our final dive day takes place in South Malé Atoll.
Possible dive sites include Kandooma Thila, Emboodhoo Express, and Hulhumalé Neru.
Depending on conditions, encounters may include reef sharks, tiger sharks, schools of fish, eagle rays, and occasional hammerheads.
The final dive of the expedition will take place on this day to allow sufficient no-fly time before departure.
Farewell & Departure
Transfer to the airport
After breakfast, guests check out and are transferred back to Malé International Airport.
This marks the end of the expedition.

8 days / 7 nights onboard accommodation, up to 17 dives including selected night dives, full board meals, snacks, drinking water, tea and coffee, airport transfers, Nitrox, 12L tanks and weights, dive guides, snorkeling guide, beach towels, cabin towels, toiletries, access to all onboard facilities including the jacuzzi, and a beach BBQ dinner if weather permits.
Flights, government taxes and onboard fees ($210 USD), fuel surcharge ($100 USD), crew tips ($100 USD recommended), soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, dive/snorkeling equipment rentals, personal expenses, and optional activities such as jet skiing, massages, and watersports.
Divers must hold a valid scuba certification and have mandatory dive insurance. Travel insurance is also required for all guests. Snorkelers and non-divers are welcome to join as well.
A $600 deposit is required to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due 120 days prior to departure.

Yes. Diving and snorkeling equipment can be rented onboard, but requests should be made at least 14 days before arrival.
Yes. The trip is operated by experienced local dive professionals and guides. Dive briefings are conducted before every dive, and routes are adapted daily based on weather, currents, and sea conditions to ensure the safest possible experience.
The expedition starts and ends in Malé, Maldives. Guests are welcomed at Malé International Airport and transferred directly to the liveaboard.
Cabins are shared unless a private cabin option is specifically arranged. Cabin configurations may vary depending on availability and group setup.
This route is known for manta rays, whale sharks, nurse sharks, gray reef sharks, white tip reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, schooling fish, and other pelagic species depending on the season and conditions.
Wildlife encounters can never be guaranteed since these are wild animals in the open ocean. However, the 4 Atolls route is considered one of the best itineraries in the Maldives for consistent manta ray and whale shark sightings throughout the year.
