Baja California Mobula Ray Aggregation Expedition
Join us for one of the most electrifying wildlife events in the ocean — the giant mobula ray aggregation in Baja California. This is a focused, high-energy expedition built around one goal: witnessing thousands of mobula rays moving, feeding, and breaching in open water.
We’ll operate from La Ventana / La Paz during peak season, heading out daily in fast pangas to intercept massive schools of mobulas as they gather near the surface. This is raw, pelagic action — blue water, fast reactions, and some of the most surreal encounters you can have in the wild.
What to Expect
Each day we head offshore in search of aggregations that can number in the hundreds or even thousands. Mobula rays move in tight formations, sometimes forming bait-ball-like clusters, sometimes spread across the surface in endless lines.
When conditions align, you may witness synchronized breaching, feeding behavior, and intense predator interaction.
In addition to mobulas, Baja’s rich waters often offer encounters with:
• Orcas
• Bryde’s whales
• Blue whales (season dependent)
• Bottlenose dolphins
• Sea lions
This is not a stationary dive trip. It’s dynamic wildlife tracking — designed for snorkelers, freedivers, and photographers who want proximity to one of the ocean’s most spectacular migrations.
